State University of Zanzibar Students and Lecturers in Romania for Academic and Cultural Exchange Tour

Students and lecturers from the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), currently in Romania for an academic exchange visit, have undertaken a local tourism and educational tour aimed at learning about the country’s history and exploring its famous tourist attractions.

The educational trip also brought together students and academic staff from various universities around the world, including participants from Kenya, Namibia, Ghana, Kosovo, the United States, Canada, Moldova, and their hosts from Romania.

During the tour, the delegation visited one of Romania’s longest and most famous caves, known as Bear Cave, where they experienced its unique geographical features and breathtaking natural scenery.

The group expressed admiration for the cave’s remarkable landscape and the cool climate found inside the underground attraction.

The Zanzibar team was led by Professor Abubakar Diwani and Dr. Merry Khatib, who accompanied the students throughout the educational and cultural visit.

The tour forms part of broader efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation, cultural exchange, and global learning experiences among students and institutions from different countries.
