SUZA, University of Oradea forge new path for International academic collaboration

In a significant step toward fostering international academic collaboration, a delegation from the University of Oradea, Romania, paid an official visit to the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), where they were warmly received by SUZA’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Mohamed Makame Haji, and Dr. Abubakar Diwani Bakari.
 
 The high-level meeting, held at SUZA’s main campus, focused on exploring strategic partnerships in higher education, research, and student exchange programs. Discussions centred around areas of cooperation such as staff and student mobility through the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Union, joint research initiatives, faculty development, and cultural exchange opportunities.
 
 In his welcoming remarks, Professor Mohamed Makame Haji expressed his appreciation for the visit and emphasized SUZA’s commitment to strengthening international linkages that enhance educational quality and global visibility.
  “We are delighted to initiate this dialogue with the University of Oradea. This marks the beginning of a promising partnership that aligns with SUZA’s vision of becoming a leading institution in research, innovation, and academic excellence,” he said.

 The Romanian delegation, led by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor PhD Eng. Bendea Gabriel, shared insights into the University of Oradea’s academic strengths, particularly in the fields of engineering, environmental sciences, tourism, medicine, public health, and social sciences.

 The meeting underscored the growing commitment of both institutions to global engagement, knowledge sharing, and the pursuit of academic excellence through cross-border partnerships. Both parties expressed optimism about the future prospects of collaboration, with concrete steps expected to follow in the near future.
