The Department of Entrepreneurship is an academic department dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, enterprise development, employability, and sustainable economic transformation. The Department serves as a platform for developing entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies among students while supporting entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and other stakeholders in the wider community. The Department recognizes entrepreneurship and innovation as important drivers of employment creation, private-sector development, poverty reduction, competitiveness, technological advancement, and sustainable development.

Its academic and outreach activities therefore combine theoretical knowledge with practical, experiential, and enterprise-based learning.
