Ms. Saumu Salum Ali is a passionate Food Scientist and Nutritionist with a strong academic background in food science and human nutrition. She holds a Master of Science of Nutrition and Food Science from Xi’an Jiao tong University in China, Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from the Sokoine University of Agriculture and Diploma of General Agriculture. Her academic and research interests focus on agriculture, food system, food safety, food preservation, and nutrition interventions in local communities. Actively involved in curriculum development, research, and international and national projects on climate-smart agriculture, food security, and nutrition, in collaboration with organizations such as IITA, USDA, FAO, and JICA. Also engaged in training, mentorship, and community-based nutrition and agricultural development initiatives. Ms. Saumu is committed to applying scientific knowledge to address real-world challenges in food systems.
