Khadija Ramadhan Makame is an Environment and Public Health expert and a Lecturer in the Department of Allied Health at the School of Health and Medical Sciences, State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). She holds an MSc. in Environmental and Occupational Health and a BSc. in Environmental Health Sciences from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). Her professional and research interests focus on occupational health and toxicology, with current work examining the toxicological effects of glyphosate and glyphosate-based herbicide formulations. She is particularly interested in occupational hazards and mitigation strategies among informal workers. Khadija is a member of the Tanzania Occupational Health and Safety Association (TOHASA) and the founder of Zanzibar Occupational and Environmental Health Consult (ZOEHC).
