Maliki O. Mohamed is a distinguished academic and tourism expert, currently serving as Assistant Lecturer and Research Coordinator at the Institute of Tourism under the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). He holds a Master’s in Tourism Management and Planning and a Bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology and Tourism. Mr. Mohamed has held key leadership and academic roles at SUZA, including Head of the Tourism Department and tourism program coordinator. His experience spans teaching, research coordination, curriculum development, and capacity building in the tourism sector. His primary research interests include sustainable tourism development, environmental management in hospitality, tourism policy and planning, entrepreneurship, and institutional pressures and organizational behavior.
