Dr. Waziri is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Economics, with over ten years of experience in teaching and scholarly work. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from Universiti Tun-Abdul Razak, Malaysia, Master’s Degree in Economics from Ajou University, South Korea and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Zanzibar University, Tanzania. He currently serves as a lecturer in the Department of Economics at the School of Business, State University of Zanzibar. Dr. Hamad’s research specialization lies in Natural Resource Economics, Sustainable Livelihoods and Environmental Policy, with a strong emphasis on the application of advanced macroeconomic and econometric techniques to analyze resource management challenges. He has demonstrated significant expertise in quantitative research methodologies, including the use of SPSS, AMOS and SMART-PLS and has contributed to evidence-based policymaking through consultancy roles with government institutions. His scholarly contributions include numerous peer reviewed publications addressing rural entrepreneurship, blue economy initiatives and livelihood enhancement among small-scale communities in Tanzania, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing sustainable development.
