Dr. Sanaa Said is a Lecturer at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), where she is actively involved in teaching, academic mentorship and research. Dr. Sanaa holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Professions and Clinical Sciences from the University of Bergen (UiB), Norway and a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Nairobi. Her research and academic work focus on health systems strengthening, non-communicable diseases and evidence-based clinical practice. She has contributed to research initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and outcomes in Zanzibar, with a particular emphasis on translating evidence into policy and practice. Through her teaching and research, Dr. Sanaa remains committed to advancing medical knowledge, supporting student development, and contributing to the sustainable improvement of health systems in the region.
