Dr. Omar is a Lecturer in Computer Science with a PhD in Internet of Things (IoT) – Wireless Intelligent Sensor Networks from the University of Rwanda’s African Centre of Excellence in IoT, Rwanda. He received the MSc Computer Science from the VIT University, India, and BSc in Computer Science from the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). He has a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for several reputable international publications. Additionally, from 2023 to 2026, Dr. Omar headed the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, spearheading significant developments and fostering innovation in academic programs and research initiatives
