Dr. Haji is a Lecturer in Physics at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). He holds a PhD in Physics (2024) from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), where he also pursued an MSc in Physics (2014). He earned a Bachelor of Science with Education (BSc. Ed) in Physics and Mathematics from SUZA (2009). Dr. Haji’s academic and research expertise spans thin-film technologies with a focus on energy conservation and efficiency and on the thermochromic properties of vanadium dioxide (VO2)-based thin films for smart window applications. His work contributes to the development of energy-efficient materials and sustainable building technologies. He is also experienced in operating a range of advanced scientific instruments for materials characterization and thin-film fabrication. He has more than fifteen years of experience in teaching, research, and consultation at SUZA.
