Dr. Ali is a Senior Lecturer at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), with extensive expertise in anesthesia, surgery, and critical medicine. He earned his PhD and Master of Medicine in Anesthesia from Wuhan University, complemented by advanced training in anesthetic sciences, clinical medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Yussuf has held key leadership roles, including Acting Dean of the School of Health & Medical Sciences, Chairman of the Zanzibar Health Research Committee, and Board Member of the Zanzibar Health Research Institute. His academic work emphasizes curriculum development, scenario-based teaching, and the integration of visual communication into medical education. His research interests include emergency medicine education, triage systems, burn management, and pharmacology. Through his leadership and mentorship, Dr. Yussuf continues to inspire innovation in medical education and strengthen healthcare research for the benefit of Zanzibar and beyond.
