AKRAM ALI OMAR, Assistant Lecturer at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), with extensive experience in teaching, research, and project coordination in Computer Science, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). He holds an MSc. in Internet of Things and Embedded Computing Systems from the University of Rwanda (2022) and a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of Dar es Salaam (2013). His academic and research interests include AI-driven healthcare systems, smart embedded devices, machine learning, and IoT-based applications for sustainable development.
Akram is currently working on a Smart Poultry Farming Project, developing IoT-based intelligent systems for disease prediction and farm automation. He also possesses specialized skills in Intellectual Property (IP) commercialization and patent drafting, supporting innovation and technology transfer initiatives within academia and industry.
He has practical experience in developing intelligent systems, facilitating innovation programs, and mentoring students in research and technology projects. He possesses strong technical and analytical skills in IoT, embedded systems, and applied AI for social impact solutions.
