WORK EXPERIENCE

As hatchery technician:
  • Worked in shell fish hatchery project at institute of marine sciences Zanzibar funded by US Company called Island creek Oyster Company with Woods hole University from USA,2011 to 2013
  • Worked in FAO hatchery of sea cucumbers, crabs, bivalves and crabs at Beit al rais Zanzibar for one year2017 to 2018
As research assistance:
  • Worked in Zanzibar Humpback whales’ research team with Newcastle University in 2011 and 2012 for a period of 3 months each time. we were looking photo Id, social behaviors and number of animals
  • Worked in dolphin project with Newcastle University and WWF investigating of factors affecting bottlenose dolphins’ distribution in the Menai Bay Conservation area Zanzibar 2013 for 2 months
  • Worked with several foreign students visiting IMS in several research projects about marine issues. They were from Stockholm University, Newcastle University and SIT students.
  • Worked in Mangrove stock assessment from Maruhubi in 2008 to Tumbatu island conducted by the Institute of Marine Sciences
  • Worked in the African Impact Zanzibar marine conservation project as research coordinator to their volunteers conducting marine studies and education provider to the community of Kizimkazi since 2013 to 2015
