Dr. Shehe Abdalla Moh’d is the Head of the Department of Early Childhood, Primary, Inclusive, and Special Needs Education at the School of Education, State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). He is a seasoned lecturer and academic, holding a PhD in Education specializing in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Dr. Shehe is a professionally trained teacher, having pursued comprehensive training in education from the diploma level through to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
His academic and professional expertise spans a range of areas within the field of early childhood education, including early childhood curriculum development, child psychology, parental and community engagement, 21st-century skills, child sociology, and early learning assessment. In addition to his specialization in early childhood education, Dr. Shehe also possesses valuable experience in language instruction and educational management.
Dr. Shehe is a certified Master Trainer in Early Childhood Development (ECD), with extensive experience in designing and facilitating a wide variety of ECD training programs across Zanzibar. He is an active curriculum developer, researcher, and consultant in the fields of ECE and ECD, currently involved in several ongoing research projects and developmental initiatives. He has also contributed his expertise to numerous ECE and ECD workshops and professional forums both within Zanzibar and in broader regional and international settings.
