Is a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Natural Sciences at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). He holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from the University of Dar Es Salaam and iThemba LABS in South Africa and has extensive publication records in reputable Nuclear Physics Journals. Before joining SUZA in 2010, he taught Physics at the secondary level for over 15 years. Dr. Khamis is deeply committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment and promoting scientific excellence within the Department of Natural Sciences at SUZA. His leadership of the Department of Natural Sciences emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students and staff. As Head of the Department, Dr. Khamis has focused on expanding research opportunities for both staff and students, as well as strengthening ties with community partners.
