Held under the theme “Strengthening Academic Publishing Quality Through Effective Editorial and Peer Review Practices\,” the training brings together academicians\, researchers\, and aspiring editors and reviewers to strengthen their competencies in scholarly publishing\, editorial management\, peer review\, and publication ethics. \n\n\n\nOpening the training\, Prof. Abdi Talib Abdalla\, the Acting Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic\, Research and Consultancy emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in academic publishing to enhance the quality\, credibility\, and visibility of research outputs. \n\n\n\nHe encouraged participants to actively engage in the training and apply the knowledge gained to support the growth and international recognition of the SUZA Journal of Science and Technology Frontiers. He also urged other academic staff to participate in similar capacity-building initiatives in the future. \n\n\n\nThe training is funded by the SAMAKI Project\, which supports academic staff development through short- and long-term training programs as well as research capacity-building initiatives aimed at promoting academic excellence and innovation.
